macbook air power adapter?
i've recently got a new macbook air from USA and the power adapter isnt compactible in my country ... the adapter says that the input is from 100-240 V .. and i am using a 250 V to charge my macbook air .... the cord that i got is from a Sony Cybershot which battery adapter was also 100-240 V .... will that harm my macbook air
Most computers are now shipped with universal power supplies. The power supply would usually say input 100-240V to indicate that the power supply can be used with anything from 100V to 240V - which includes countries that have 250V.
For example, in Australia we use 240V power, in the USA they use 110V. A power adapter sold here in Australia has specifications for 100-240V as shown in this link...
The only problem may be that the plug provided is the US plug, in which case you will need a plug adapter to suit your house power outlet. The cables that are provided with other computer equiment and digital cameras are usually rated for 250V. This is displayed generally on the plug.
