Having Power Issues with Versa SXi?

Someone just gave me this laptop.. I've plugged it in and I can see the battery indicator light, lite up. Clearly, it is getting power. I have checked RAM, I have pulled the battery.. I just can't seem to get the darn thing to power up... Any ideas?
